Hi! I’m Jacqueline - a versatile designer with 10+ years of experience in the video game industry specializing in game design, UX/UI, community development, and marketing. I am the CEO and founder of Midnight Snack Club Inc. - a small Toronto-based indie studio dedicated to making cozy and heartwarming video games.
My background in psychology, visual design, and marketing gives me a unique and holistic perspective in the overall game development process. Some of my notable contributions so far have been at Massive Damage. I initially doubled our community base through social media marketing, on top of designing the UI iconography for the rogue-lite RPG Star Renegades. I have worked on Fera as a Game Designer and conceptually paved the way for one of the core mechanics in the game.
I am also a seasoned exhibitor at shows like PAX East/West, BitSummit, Gamescom, E3, and Reboot Develop Red. I enjoy customizing a memorable and inclusive booth experience for the community and building a cohesive company brand.
I have been part of the mentorship panel at EGLX and a speaker at Microsoft for their Women in Gaming initiative. I believe that people can do their best work when a true collaborative spirit is fostered. Actively listening and treating others with empathy are important values to me.
Some things that bring me joy are photography, interior design, my rescue void kitty Maki, and running (when my knees aren’t acting up)! In my off time, you may catch me cafe hopping, admiring interior decor, and climbing the occasional highrise rooftop to get a good skyline photo.
Feel free to check out my photography showcase to see some of the places I’ve traveled to :)
